How to: color blending

February 2, 2013

Ever have a little trouble trying to mix up that perfect shade or tint? Maybe this book recommendation can steer you in the right direction.

yellows reds violets oranges greens browns blues blacks and graysFound this great book at the library called Color Mixing Bible. I’m going to keep pouring through it over the next couple of weeks and hope to get one for myself as soon as possible.

I immediately fell in love with it because of these color charts here. They show all the different degrees of color mixing when using acrylic paints, which is perfect for the screenprinting i do. The book contains similar charts for watercolors, oil paint and other mediums, all really well laid out and easy to follow.
