***Following just on the overrated and unaffordable heels of Toronto Fashion Week, this clothing swap extravaganza will equip you with everything you need to look and feel good this coming season. With nibbles provided by Sweets From the Earth and Dolly Partons’ classic 1982 film The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (in honor of the recent Ontario Court of Appeal ruling) playing in the background, the scene is set for a brand new you.
The way this works is simple: bring in any clothes and accessories you’re not really wearing these days (check the bottom of your drawers and that dusty side of your closet), try on a few outfits that somebody else loved tons, then leave with a whole new set of clothes. Anything left behind will be donated to Sketch, a community art space for marginalized youth. This will also mark the launch of the new zine Filth, a research project on queer organizing. Featuring interviews with organizers in Toronto and Montreal, this zine aims to connect different communities in struggle and people to the larger queer movement. After party at Fierce Femme!!

Sweets From The Earth are not only ridiculously delicious, but they’re also a full line of original recipe, egg and dairy-free baked goods, which are made all the more delectable by using only the best all natural, 100% plant-based, GMO-free ingredients. Go get some at locations all over Toronto or at
